Afshin Mirmotahari
Chief Executive Officer
Afshin founded Viki Solutions as a company that takes an economic approach to software development with a focus on delivering fabled customer service. He brings 24 years of software engineering experience, having lead highly functional and profitable software development teams at Kodak, Creo and Chemetics International. Afshin holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and co-invented a patent for the Kodak Prinergy workflow system. He enjoys spending time windsurfing and kayaking on the lakes and waterways of Vancouver Island.
Peter Baker
Customer Relations Manager
Peter joins Viki Solutions with 25 years of software development experience. Most recently, Peter spent 10 years with Creo/Kodak as a project manager for the InSite product family. Prior to Creo, he spent 5 years at Power Measurement (now Schneider Electric) as a project manager for the Pegasys software product. He also spent a number of years as a consultant and business owner in the software process control market. Peter lives on Gabriola Island and enjoys the ocean, boating and seafood.
Luke Niedjalski
Director of Solutions
Luke joins Viki Solutions with 10 years of rich Internet application development experience, having worked for Kodak, Creo and Speakwell. His recent projects have focused on eCommerce, variable data print, direct marketing campaigns and corporate brand content management. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Victoria. Luke enjoys trips to Beacon Hill Park with his family and bouncing on the trampoline in the backyard.
Bill Zickmantel
Director of Technology
Bill brings over 15 years of software architecture and development experience to the Viki Solutions team. His background includes working for Creo, Kodak and MacDonald Dettwiler. Bill was a key member of the team that developed the world leading software applications: InSite and Prinergy. He is responsible for driving system architecture and making technology direction decisions. Bill lives in Victoria with his wife and two daughters, and enjoys sailing and playing bass in a jazz quintet.
Brent Yager, P.Eng.
Project Manager
Brent is a project manager and software developer for Viki Solutions. He has 16 years of experience as a software engineer and project manager for Kodak, Creo and the National Research Council of Canada. Brent holds a Master of Software Systems degree from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and is a licensed Professional Engineer. Brent enjoys coaching sports and spending time outdoors with his wife and two young sons.
Alison Mason
Software Developer
Alison joins Viki Solutions with 5 years of software development experience, specializing in user driven design. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, Alison moved to Dublin, Ireland. There she worked for a web consulting firm before being recruited back to Victoria to join the Creo team in 2005. Outside of the office, Alison can be found hiking and camping in beautiful British Columbia and wherever else in the world time will allow for.
Ann Patrick
Software Developer
Ann brings over 16 years of software design and development experience to Viki Solutions. Her previous employers include Kodak, Creo, Object Technology International and MPR Teltech. For over 7 years, she was deeply involved in the development of the InSite suite of products. When she's not at work, Ann can be found playing with her kids and driving them to hockey games and practices.
Rob Morgan
Customer Support Specialist
Rob joins Viki Solutions after nearly 12 years at Creo/Kodak where he worked on the Prinergy Development and Product Support teams. While there, he helped develop and support many features; some of which include the Trap Editor and Layered PDF Versioning. A graduate of Ryerson University's Graphic Communications Management program, he brings 18 years of experience in the prepress industry to the team. New to Victoria, he is looking forward to exploring the fairways (and woods) of Vancouver Island's many golf courses.
Amalia Colussi
Communications Coordinator
Amalia joins Viki Solutions with over 10 years of varied communications experience. From teaching ESL in Italy to technical writing for Kodak and Creo and communications coaching at BC Pension Corporation, she brings a plain language and localization focus to all her work. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English literature from the University of Victoria, followed by a post-graduate diploma in journalism and editing and a teaching ESL certificate. Amalia also enjoys hiking the spectacular west coast, travel to far-flung locales, dance and most crafts involving paper and fabric.
